Summer weather is coming! The children have planted vegetables and now we’ll watch our plants grow. We’re also opening the water table so we can cool off a bit in warm weather. You might want to bring in an extra bathing suit/swim trunks and summer clothes to keep in your child’s cubby. With this warm weather we have also experienced mosquitoes. You can bring repellant and sunscreen that we can apply at school, or you can put it on at home before arriving.
Curriculum Corner:
In June we will be studying about the summer season, taking care of the garden, and appreciating our dad’s. We will keep reviewing letters and put more emphasis on numbers during the summer. This month’s shape is the triangle, and our color is yellow.
A few Friendly Reminders:
- Father’s Day and Summer Solstice – June 21st
- Please remember to let me know when your child will not be attending school for vacations, doctor appointments, etc…
- Please arrive at school before 9am and make drop-off and pick up times brief to free up parking.
- We have lots of bees in the garden and pokey wood chips on the playground. Encourage your child to wear sandals or full closure shoes.
- Summer Break July 6th – 16th – School Closed
Happy Father’s Day!
