The new school year at Backyard Schoolhouse begins as summer concludes and schedules are established. Families are asked to arrive before 9:00 a.m. to participate in the preschool curriculum. Early drop offs allow children time to play and adjust before circle time begins.

Daily Schedule:

8:00-9:00 Morning arrivals & breakfast

9:30 Calendar and circle time (includes games, singing, project introduction, and story time)

10:00 Snack

11:00 Recess

11:45 Lunch

12:30-1:00 Half-day departure

1:20 Resting

3:00 Snack

3:30-4:30 Full day departures

Curriculum Corner: This month’s theme will focus on apples and the fall season. When outdoors, children may observe signs of autumn and bring items related to fall to share. The curriculum will also include the letters A and B, numbers 1, 2, and 3, color red, and the circle shape.
